Lily Canas Sardeson, 48, of Cozad, Nebraska, died August 19th, 2012, at the Golden LivingCenter in Cozad.

Lily was born August 11th, 1964, at Big Springs, Texas, to Jose and Rosario Avalos Canas. She attended school at Big Springs and Cozad. Lily spent most of her life in Cozad, where she raised her only daughter, Ashley.

She loved spending time with family, especially her granddaughter. Lily enjoyed shopping, going on walks and dining out with family and friends.

Lily was always generous with what she had in life. She will be sorely missed by family and friends alike.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Kyle Maule) Canas of Bradenton, Florida; granddaughter, Rosario Canas of Bradenton, Florida; four brothers, Tony (Kayleen) Canas, Nick (Nancy) Canas, Joel (Cheryl) Canas, Joe (Mary) Canas III, all of Cozad; two sisters, Angie (Oscar) Orellana of Cozad, Lisa (J.R.) Lopez of Ft. Worth, Texas; brother-in-law, Gene Tucker of Sterling, Colorado; sister-in-law, Janae Canas of Sterling, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends.

Lily was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alicia Tucker; and brother, Elle Canas.   

Services were held Thursday, August 23rd, 2012, at the Cozad Christian Church with Pastor Jeremy Jech officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Grove Cemetery east of Cozad.
