Former Cozad Resident: Nancy Conaway (1939-2016)
Nancy Elizabeth Conaway, 76, of Fort Collins, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on July 5th, 2016.
She was born on September 9th, 1939 in Aldrich, Missouri, to Kenneth and Mary Ann Landreth.
At age 5, her family moved to the Bay Area in California. She graduated from Hayward High School in 1957. Following graduation, she attended Midwestern School of Evangelism in Ottumwa, Iowa where she met her husband of 53 years, Ivan Conaway. Not long after marrying, they moved to the Cozad, Nebraska area where they had their 4 children, Carol, John, Barbara, and Jennifer. In 1977, they moved to White City, Oregon. There, Nancy worked as a Certified Nurse Aide for Providence Medford Medical Center. After retirement, they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to be near family. While there, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, volunteering with Volunteers Of America, activities at the Senior Center, and attending services at Dayspring Christian Church.
She is survived by her daughters Carol, Barbara and her husband Rob Gomez, Jennifer and her husband Jonas McKinley, and her 8 grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew, Joseph, Zane, Zoe, Gabriella, Phoebe, and Isaac.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, her son, John, and her son-in-law, Ronald Stoltz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13th, 3:00 p.m, at Dayspring Christian Church, 8005 Highland Meadows Parkway, Fort Collins, Colorado 80528. Her cremains will be buried next to her husband and son at Routh Chapel on May 28th, 2017 in Dade County, Missouri.
