Wayne L. Warner, age 57 of Cozad, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.
Wayne was born July 9, 1954 at Long Beach, CA. Wayne graduated from Cozad High School.
Following his schooling, Wayne worked at H & H Auto Parts. Not long after he worked at H & H, Wayne opened an auto shop that specialized in front end alignments and balancing. He would eventually come under the employ of Nebraska Plastics, Cozad Services and Boerkircher’s Furniture Store.
On July 8, 2000, Wayne married Sherry Bridges at Cozad, where the couple made their home together. Wayne would spend the last of his working days with Zook’s Welding, a job that he held until his health would no longer allow him to work.
Wayne was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cozad.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Wayne had a special interest for hunting waterfowl, and was active in Ducks Unlimited throughout his life. He was a caring and polite man and will be deeply missed by his wife and family.
A memorial has been established in his memory. Condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Cozad with Pastor Neil Kloppenborg officiating.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
