Donald "Donnie" Nalley, 47, of Bowman, North Dakota, formally of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died Thursday, March 8th, 2012, at Medcenter One Hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Donnie was born November 3rd, 1964, in St. Joseph, Missouri; to William E. Sr. and Shirley Ann (James) Nalley. The family moved to North Platte, Nebraska, where Donnie attended elementary and junior high. He graduated from Maxwell High School. Donnie participated in football, wrestling, track and baseball.
Following high school he worked various construction jobs throughout the state. In 1991 he moved to Florida where he met his wife Jeannie. They were married on June 7th, 1998. To this union one son Austin Ray was born. Donnie loved to spend time with Austin playing football or any outdoor activity. Donnie enjoyed listening to Hank Williams Jr., Johnny Cash and Van Halen. In 2009 they moved to Bowman, where Donnie was working on power lines.
Donnie could always be found with a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Donny is survived by his wife, Jeannie; son, Austin; father, William E. Nalley, Sr. and step-mother, Ruth; one sister, Patricia Ann Roberts and her husband, Frank; three brothers; William E. Nalley, Jr. and his wife Karen, Barry Eugene Nalley and his wife, Linda and Raymond Lee Nalley; two step-sisters, Tammy Ueligger and Hope Green; two step-brothers, David Buesing and his wife, Tammy and Kevin Haney and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother, Shirley; step-father, Robert Buesing and brother, Richard Nalley.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 13th, 2012, at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.
