Iris Esmeralda Novoa, 26, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Friday, March 2nd, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.
She was born August 6th, 1985, in El Salvador to Francisco and Carmen de Jesus Roque Corpeno. Iris moved to Lexington as a young girl and graduated from Lexington High School with the Class of 2005.
Iris was united in marriage to Luis Novoa in Lexington at St. Ann's Catholic Church in 2006. Two children were blessed to this marriage, Alejandro and Maylin. Iris had many enjoyments, most notably she loved being with her family and her children, her church was very important to her. She loved to go shopping, music, dancing, watching her stories on TV, going to the gym and being outdoors and trips to the lake.
Survivors include her husband, Luis of Lexington; two children, Alejandro and Maylin, both of the home; her parents of Lexington; grandmother, Nicolas Rivera de Corpeno of El Salvador; two brothers, Fredy and Oscar Corpeno, both of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister, Wendy Xiomala of El Salvador; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Salvador.
Mass of Christian Burial will be (today) Thursday, March 8th, 2012, at 2 p.m., at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with the Rev. Jorge Canela officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Ann's Cemetery at Lexington.
