Freddie "Fritz" Rhinehart, 92, of Elwood, Nebraska, died Saturday, February 11th, 2012, at the Elwood Care Center.
Freddie was born December 12th, 1919, at Gosper County, Nebraska, to Fred and Minnie (Reynolds) Rhinehart. He was raised in Elwood and graduated from Elwood High School.
Freddie resided and farmed in the Elwood area his entire life. He loved farming and all that it entailed. Freddie had worked for several local farmers throughout his long career in agriculture. He also thoroughly enjoyed his three yellow cats.
Freddie was an avid card player; he was particularly fond of playing cribbage. He also enjoyed working in his yard. He will be remembered for his kindness and love for his family.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Homer, Kenneth and Don; two sisters, Ruby and Doris.
Freddie is survived by his nieces, Kathy (Bill) Weismann of Elwood, Orba (Dick) Childs of Lexington, Nebraska, Marlyne (Ed) Bannister of Holdrege, Nebraska and Marily Jorges of Lincoln, Nebraska; two nephews, Jim (Lora) Rhinehart of Arapahoe, Nebraska and Allyn (Connie) Chambers of Ogallala, Nebraska; a sister-in-law, Bernice Rhinehart of Arapahoe; and numerous great-nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, February 14th, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., at the Elwood Cemetery with Pastor Linda Newman officiating.

Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad was in charge of arrangements.
