Life-long Gothenburg Resident: Timothy M. Austin, age 58 (1953-2012)

Timothy Michael Austin, 58, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died Tuesday, February 7th, 2012, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Tim was born May 19th, 1953, in Gothenburg, son of Charles McKinley and Lois Rose (Leitner) Austin.

Tim lived in Gothenburg his entire life and graduated from Gothenburg High School. Tim worked at a pet shop, was a police dispatcher and sold real estate. He enjoyed being at the lake and fishing. Tim was a member of the Lions Club.

Surviving are his mother, Lois Austin of Gothenburg; brother, Terry (Mary) Austin of Chesterfield, Missouri; four nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Timothy was preceded in death by father, Charles McKinley Austin; brother, Tommy Austin.

Services were held at Victory Assembly of God, February 13th, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Mark Borchardt officiating. Interment followed in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.
