William Morris "Morrie" Lewis, 75, of Ravenna, Nebraska, died Sunday, January 22nd, 2012, at Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna.

He was born May 20th, 1936, in Cozad, Nebraska, to William "Bill" and Deline (Morris) Lewis.

On December 30th, 1959, he married Audrey Hervert in Ravenna.

He was educated in Cozad and at Kearney State College. He taught school in Emerson, Nebraska, Loup City, Nebraska and in Atlantic, Iowa. He owned and operated motels in Atlantic and in Ottawa, Kansas. They moved to Ravenna in 1995.

Morrie enjoyed his family, golf and motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Jim Lewis of Needham, Massachusetts and Jeff Lewis and his wife, Melissa, of Olathe, Kansas; sister, Sally Stear of Cozad; brother, Jim Burford of Kearney, Nebraska; and grandsons, Brad, Josh and Will.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held Saturday, January 28th, 2012, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ravenna with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna. Wake services will be at 6 p.m., Friday at the church.
