There will be new faces at the head coaching positions for the Lady Haymakers Softball and Basketball programs for the upcoming 2013-2014 campaigns.

Unveiled as the new head coach for the prestigious Lady Haymakers diamond program is HaLea Messersmith. “I look forward to the opportunity to work with the girls and share my love and passion for the game of softball with them,” expressed HaLea Messersmith.

Messersmith is a former Doane Tiger Softball standout that graduated from the institution in 2008. HaLea achieved her master’s degree in biology in 2010. Messersmith will be teaching middle school science along with her coaching duties.
The Lady Haymakers will take to the hardwood under the direction of Seth Ford.

Ford comes to Cozad Schools from his assignment at Pawnee City, where he was a social studies instructor, head girls hoops coach and assistant activities director among many other duties during his tenure.
