Eileen A. Mapel, 71, of Cozad, Nebraska, formerly of the Fremont, Nebraska, area died peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013, in Cozad.
Eileen was born March 11th, 1942, in Dodge, Nebraska, to John and Mamie (Tiedemann) Dvorak. She grew up on the family farm south of Dodge. She was a graduate of North Bend High School. Eileen spent the majority of her life in the Dodge area. She traveled to Anchorage, Alaska, for a short time and then moved back to the North Bend, Nebraska area. Later she settled in Cozad.
She is survived by sons, John and wife, Joan Mapel of Forsyth, Montana, Raymond and wife, Rose Mapel of Cozad and Maynard and wife, Tana Mapel of Clarkson, Nebraska; sister, Elaine and husband, Ron Sims of Fullerton, Nebraska; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 6th at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
