Blanche B. Searls, 94 of Eustis, Nebraska, died November 2nd, 2013, at Lexington Regional Health Center in Lexington, Nebraska.
Blanche was born September 13th, 1919, at Cozad, Nebraska, to R. Roy and Ina (Shane) Powell. She attended school in Cozad, and graduated from Cozad High School.
On May 18th, 1941, Blanche married Charles “Chick” Searls at Cozad.Their union was blessed with three children, Sam, Judi and Teresa. Blanche and Charles eventually moved to Eustis where the family made their home.
Blanche worked as waitress for Abee’s Restaurant in Eustis. She also worked for Eustis News. In later years, Blanche and Charles both worked for Berryman Funeral Home in Eustis. She also volunteered at the Eustis Senior Center.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; a stepdaughter; two grandsons and two sons-in-law.
Survivors include her son, Sam (Eva) Searls of Eustis; two daughters, Judi Schwarz of Lexington and Teresa (Marvin) Tridle of Surprise, Arizona; seven grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Eustis. Burial will be in the Cozad Cemetery at Cozad.
