Zelma Lorine Gaudreault, 87, of Cozad, Nebraska, died April 29th, 2013, in Cozad.
She was born June 10th, 1925, in Winder, Georgia, daughter of William Preston and Bertha Ophilia (McDaniel) Wall.
Zelma grew up in Monroe, North Carolina and graduated from Monroe High School. She married Marcus Crampton Gaudreault on November 27th, 1944, at Topeka, Kansas. Zelma and Marcus moved to Curtis, Nebraska and then later to Farnam, Nebraska.
She retired in 1981 from the ASCS office in Frontier County after 28 years. She then went to work for the Frontier County Clerks office and retired after 10 years. When she could no longer drive, Zelma moved to North Platte, Nebraska. In November 2012, she moved to Meadowlark Pointe in Cozad. She enjoyed socializing, cooking, sewing, crafts and dancing. Zelma always had a large garden which she enjoyed giving away the produce.
Surviving are son - Don (Janice) Gaudreault of Farnam; granddaughter - Betty (TO Loeske) Gaudreault of Paxton, Nebraska; two grandsons - Marc (Oksana Trofycnuk) Gaudreault of Lone Tree, Colorado, Tony (Michelle) Gaudreault of Henderson, Nevada; great-grandchildren- Austin Hackney of Paxton; Landon Gaudreault of Henderson, Nevada; Jaylen Gaudreault of Henderson; brother-in-law - Eugene (Joyce) Elmore of North Carolina; nieces and nephews.
Zelma was preceded in death by husband, Marcus Gaudreault, father, William Preston Wall, mother, Bertha Ophilia Wall; one brother, four sisters, three brother-in-laws.
Memorial services will be held at Farnam United Methodist Church, May 17th, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Viter officiating.
Private inurnment will follow in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.
