Helen M. Schwarz, 73, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Friday, December 7th, 2012, at the Lexington Regional Health Center.
She was born on December 20th, 1938, at Lexington to John and Ona (Marsh) Lee. Helen attended school at Lexington and was united in marriage to Robert Schwarz on May 28th, 1955, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington. Three sons were blessed to this marriage; Randy, Pat and Damian.
Helen and Robert lived their entire lives in Lexington. She spent many years working at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington and prior to that was able to be home with the boys and do some housekeeping.
Helen’s hobbies included reading, quilting, camping and listening to the Big Joe Polka Show. She enjoyed playing, singing and dancing to music with her family. Helen’s family were her pride and joy. She was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her three sons: Randy (Brenda) Schwarz of Lexington, Pat (Pam) Schwarz of Aurora, Colorado, Damian (Linda) Schwarz of Kearney, Nebraska; two sisters: Harriet Fletcher of Lexington, Shirley (Gene) Harris of Colorado, twelve grandchildren: Adam Schwarz, Brett Schwarz, Brandon (Courtney) Schwarz, Brandi Schwarz, Kresha Schwarz, Kenny (Adrienne) Schwarz, Lance Schwarz, Matt (Lisa) Hinds, Nate Schwarz, Sarah Schwarz, Travis Edwards and Tyler Schwarz and eight great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert.
Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, December 11th, 2012, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Neal Nollette, officiating.
Burial was in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery at Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington was in charge of arrangements.
