Haake, Rios are selected for the 2010 Shrine Bowl
Scheduled for June 19th in Lincoln
The roster has been announced for the 2010 Shrine Bowl that is scheduled to be played on Saturday, June 19th at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
TRIBUNE-area stars from the gridiron that will participate in this special event are Gothenburg's Landen Haake and Lexington's Andrew Rios, who were both selected to play on the North team.
The coaches selected for the North team are head coach Mike Speirs, Howells and his assistants Tony Hoffman, Crofton; Mike Fultz, Lincoln High; Mike Lecher, Chadron; Luke Dobbins, Howells and Tim Kassmeier, Norfolk Catholic.
The South team will be guided by head coach Kevin Kush, Boys Town and his chosen assistants, Jeff Reed, Norris; Daren Hatch, Arapahoe; Scott Porter, Blue Hill; Monte Meadows, Boys Town and Trevor Longe, Millard South.
The rosters have a plethora of talent from the Nebraska High School ranks that have been divided into two teams.
